Gallery from ROH Annual Colloquium (26 June - 02 July, 2009)

27 June - 01 July, 2009
Village of Krapetz (Varna region)

As a follow up of the previous working sessions in the framework of the Regimes of Historicity (ROH) programme, this event has been conceived as an opportunity to bring together the first and the second year ROH Junior Fellows, Senior Fellows (Prof. Diana Mishkova , Prof. Antonis Liakos and Prof. Bo Stråth) as well as the Modernity and Identity CAS Fellows. The ROH Fellows, whose term had just expired, had the chance to present and discuss the outcomes of their nine-month intensive research, while the newly selected Fellows could introduce their research plans to this broader audience. A group of three researchers from Northern Europe, participants in the Intellectuals Beyond the Nation Project of the University of Helsinki, and several guests joined the event which numbered 30 participants.

The colloquium took place in the  village of Krapetz at the northernmost Black Sea coast, in an area endowed with rich history and natural beauties. It lasted for five days and combined intensive and lively scholarly discussions with ample opportunities for free exchange, informal talks, archaeological and natural preserves sightseeing. And of course a lot of fun! The event was financially supported by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (Sweden).
